Porque quiero, puedo y no me da miedo. Porque no compongo, ni canto, ni bailo. Porque encuentro en el encuadre y en la imagen una manera de escribir y de contar. Porque no me gustan las oficinas, ni los horarios, ni los jefes. Porque tengo una cámara, un computador y ganas de encontrar algo para contar. Porque me gusta viajar y compartir con el público, saber donde ríen y donde callan. Por que estudié cine y me especialicé en montaje. Porque me gusta acostarme en la madrugada y despertarme tarde. Porque me encanta encontrar la mejor historia en un mar de posibilidades. Porque es fascinante detenerse en el detalle. Porque he podido sobrevivir de lo que me gusta. Porque es rico trabajar con amigos y apostarle a una idea incierta. Porque el público te dice gracias y te abraza. Porque cada vez es un proyecto diferente. Porque es emocionante ver cómo se arma el rompecabezas. Porque es gratificante una proyección a oscuras y con público. Porque me obliga a pensar y repensar. Porque es cambiante y arriesgado. Porque una imagen dice más que mil palabras. Por la posibilidad de imaginar y crear. Porque limito la realidad y sólo muestro una parte. Porque busco lo sencillo y lo particular. Porque lo sigo queriendo.

I make films because I want, I can and I am not afraid. Because I don’t write songs, sing or dance. Because I find a way of writing and telling, in the frame and the image. Because I don’t like offices, shifts or bosses. Because I have a camera, a computer and the will to tell something. Because I like to travel and share with an audience, to know when they laugh and when they become quiet. Because I’ve studied filmmaking and I have a degree in Edition. Because I like to go to bed late at night and get up late in the morning. Because I love to find the best story in an ocean of possibilities. Because it is fascinating to find the details. Because I’ve could survive doing the things that I like. Because it is nice to work with your friends and bet my money to an uncertain idea. Because the audience is grateful and hugs me. Because there is a different project every time. Because it is exciting to see how the puzzle is piecing together. Because it is gratifying to be in a screening in the dark between the audience. Because it forces me to think and re-think. Because it is changeable and risky. Because an image can tell more than what a thousand words could. Because of the possibility of imagining and creating. Because it allows me to extract a piece of reality and picture it. Because I am searching for the simple and particular things. Because I still want to.
