La razón por la que hago cine sigue cambiando y creciendo conforme yo misma lo hago. Hay ciertas imágenes sostenidas todavía en mi mente. Las imágenes a menudo involucran personajes en acciones con fondos particulares que crean extraños paisajes de emociones humanas. Solía querer “actualizar” esas imágenes para así poder ponerlas frente a mí y darme cuenta qué significan. Por estos días, sin embargo, acepté la modesta limitación que tengo: que nunca seré capaz de entender completamente qué significan esas imágenes y si creo que lo sé, eso implicaría que posiblemente estoy perdiéndome el significado profundo de ellas. Por estos días, actualizo esas imágenes, para poder conectarme con otros seres en la tierra, para compartir mi incompetencia, dudas e ignorancia, en términos de comprender lo que veo: serlo desde el exterior o el interior de mi pequeño mundo.

The reason why I make films keep changing and growing as I myself do. There are certain images keep hovering in my mind. The images often involve character(s) in action in particular backdrop(s) that created strange landscape of human emotions. I used to want to ‘actualize’ those images so that I can put them in front of me and figure out what they mean. These days, however, I’ve accepted the humble limitation I have that I would never be able to fully understand what those images mean and if I believe I do, that only would imply that I am possibly missing out the most profound meaning of them. These days, I actualize those images, in order to connect with other beings on earth, to share my Incompetence, doubts and ignorance in terms of comprehending what I see be it from the outside or the inside of my small world.
