Una idea aparece en mi cabeza. No sé de dónde vino ni por qué. Simplemente aparece en mi cabeza, completamente formada, y no se quiere ir. A menudo, todas las imágenes están ahí, contando la historia; entonces hacer la película es simplemente grabar esa historia. Trato de hacerlo lo más rápido posible porque cuanto más espero, se vuelve menos excitante. No sé de dónde vino la idea, pero eso no es importante. Si apareció en mi cabeza, debe haber alguna razón, y es mejor no mezclarlo con la magia. Intento no pensar demasiado. Sencillamente lo filmo simple, porque creo que es la mejor forma de capturar quién soy. A veces es exitoso, a veces no, pero al menos me representa en ese momento.

An idea pops into my head. I don’t know where it came from or why. It just pops into my head, fully-formed, and doesn’t want to leave. Often, all the images are already there, telling the story; so making the film is just recording that story. I try to do it as quickly as possible because the longer I wait, the less exciting it becomes. I don’t know where the idea came from, but that’s not important. If it appeared in my head, there must be some reason, and it’s best not to mess with magic. I try not to think too much. I just shoot it simply, because I believe that’s the best way to capture who I am. Sometimes it’s successful, sometimes it’s not, but at the very least, it represents me at the time.
