¿Por que filmo? Filmo porque me hace feliz, porque cada vez que estoy filmando siento como si se me conectara un cable detrás del cerebro (a lo Matrix) que me hace trasladarme a otro estado. Nada me hace más feliz que filmar, pero nada.
¿Por que filmo? Porque creo que no hay nada mejor que algo que haya salido de tu cabeza se materialice y se haga realidad. No me imagino hacer otra cosa en mi vida.
Filmo porque me gusta entretener o por lo menos eso intento, porque en un punto tengo una necesidad de contar ciertas cosas que me han pasado y creo que al filmarlas me sirven para verlas desde otro punto de vista.
Filmo porque es más barato que ir al psicólogo… O no.
Creo que nunca me pregunte realmente por qué filmo y si me lo preguntase realmente, y me pusiera a pensar la cantidad de años que lleva desarrollar un proyecto y luego concretarlo, y la cantidad de problemas de todo tipo que eso trae, dejaría de filmar, con lo cual, prefiero no pensar en por qué filmo y seguir filmando.

Why do I make films? I make films because it makes me happy, because every time I am shooting I feel as if a cable was connected to the back of my brain (a Matrix-like connection) which takes me somewhere else, to a different state. Nothing makes me happier than filming, nothing I tell you.
Why do I make films? Because I don’t think there’s anything greater than having something that came out of your head become materialized and real. I cannot think of anything else to do in my life.
I make films because I like entertaining or at least I try, because I have sort of a need to tell certain things that have happened to me and I guess that shooting them gives me the chance to look at them differently.
I make films because it is cheaper than going to the shrink… Or not.
I don’t think I have ever really asked myself why I make films and if I did so, truly, and got to thinking about the number of years that it takes to develop a project and then make it happen, plus the number of problems of all kinds, I would probably stop filming! So I’d rather not think and keep on filming.
