Hago cine porque me gusta ver películas. He visto muchísimas películas desde que era niño. Siempre iba al cine cercano a mi casa. La entrada en ese momento era muy barata, 1,5 jiao, el equivalente a menos de 1 penique. A veces veíamos películas todo el día los fines de semana. Esto tal vez me influenció para ser director de cine ahora. Crecí en Hutongs, en Pekín. Estoy muy familiarizado con la vida de la gente común. Entonces mi película refleja mayormente la vida subyacente del civil y más estilo documental. Para reflejar sus amarguras y felicidades, sonrisas y lágrimas.

I make films because I like watching films. I have watched a lot of films since I was a little child. I always went to the cinema nearby my home. The ticket at that time was very cheap which was 1.5 jiao equivalent of over 1 pence .We were sometimes watching films all day on weekends. This perhaps influenced me to be a film director now. I grew up in Hutongs in Beijing. I am most familiar with the common people’s life. So my movie mostly reflects underlying civilian’s life and more documentary style. To reflect their bitterness and happiness, smiles and tearss.
